MOUSE: P.I. For Hire, the upcoming cartoon-flavoured noir shooter from Fumi Games, has been delayed from its original March 19, 2026 release date to April 16.

The development team posted the following message regarding the decision to delay the game:

Hello everyone,

Today, we have an important update to share with you all. We have made the decision to move the release date of MOUSE: P.I. for Hire to April 16, 2026. As we approach the final stages of development, we want to ensure we are taking the extra time and care needed to make MOUSE: P.I. for Hire an experience to remember. We remain unwavering in our goal to deliver you the best game we can, and that will take just an extra few weeks. We are excited to share more of the game with you in the lead up to launch. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your incredible support.

Mouse: P.I. For Hire is due out on PS5, PC, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series X/S, and sees players following hardboiled mouse detective Jack Pepper, who is looking into various cases in this rubbhose-style 2.5D first-person shooter. Gameplay combines intense shootouts with investigative sections where players have to hunt down clues and solve brain-teasing riddles.
